The Communications Committee creates and coordinates LWVLA’s internal and public-facing communications, including a Monthly Newsletter, Letters to the Editor in key Louisiana publications, and through earned media Press Coverage in print and broadcast outlets. It coordinates litigation and legislative advocacy and press statements in close consultation with LWVUS and in-state advocacy partners. The Committee also maintains active social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and YouTube. Increasingly, we are taking to the radio waves to get out our message of voter education and voter mobilization. If you need a statement or a speaker from the League, please do be in touch!
